Information relating to personal data processing
WHO ARE WE?
Plastidom – Plásticos Industriais e Domésticos S.A., (hereinafter referred to as Plastidom S.A.) legal person with tax number 500219672 and registered office in Leiria – Gare, Apartado 105, 2416-902 LEIRIA, is the entity responsible for collecting and processing your personal data for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
LEGISLATION
Plastidom S.A. pledges to process your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and other legislation in force including Law No 41/2004 of 18 August, with the wording as provided by Law No 46/2012 of 29 August on the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data.
Plastidom S.A. is the entity responsible for the processing of personal data collected via registration and/or user activity on the company website or via personal, telephone, email or postal contact. PURPOSES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
When users supply personal data to Plastidom S.A. as described above in the privacy policy, they are giving Plastidom S.A. their consent for this information to be used for the following purposes:
Performance of contracts; information or marketing actions, particularly for the sending of marketing communications; interaction on social platforms and networks; campaigns, promotions, advertising and news on Plastidom S.A. products and/or services; market studies and assessment surveys and the creation of profiles to develop mechanisms of personalization.
Personal data will also be used to comply with the Terms of Use and applicable law, in which case the personal data may be transferred to a data protection officer, to comply with judicial orders, administrative requirements or requests for information submitted by any public authority so empowered or mandated, in which case the personal data may be transferred to such entities; should Plastidom S.A. exercise its right with respect to the user to receive credits, whether under a judicial plan (courts or arbitration bodies), or in extrajudicial cases where personal data may be transferred to Plastidom S.A. representatives and consultants, such as lawyers, solicitors and/or accountants.
Plastidom S.A. does not collect personal data automatically, except when such data is supplied voluntarily by a user, which takes place when and if a user completes an online form.
PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
Personal data are processed lawfully, correctly and transparently in relation to the user and are collected for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes which are suitable, pertinent and restricted to that required. Such data are updated whenever necessary.
Plastidom S.A. implements all suitable measures to ensure that any inaccurate data, bearing in mind the purposes for which they are processed, are erased or rectified without delay.
Processing is carried out in a manner which ensures the security of personal data, including protection against unlawful access and unauthorized appropriation, adulteration and/or disclosure, undue erasure as well as protection against dissemination of malicious software (computer viruses). Plastidom S.A. implements suitable technical and organizational measures for this purpose.
RIGHTS OF PERSONAL DATA SUBJECTS
In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data, personal data subjects have the right to:
Request access to the information we hold on them;
Object, without charge, to the processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes or creating profiles;
Access and correct their personal data when such data are inaccurate;
Request the restriction of processing of personal data or the right to be forgotten;
The portability of their data and to receive a copy such processed data;
Be notified in the event of automated decision and provided with meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for the data subject.
USE OF PERSONAL DATA FOR PURPOSES OF JOB APPLICATIONS
With regard to unsolicited job applications, Plastidom reserves the right to delete personal data after 12 months. After this period, if applicants wish to remain on our database for recruitment purposes, they are asked to submit a new C.V. The recruitment process does not involve automated decision-making or profiling.
With regard to job applications, personal data is processed for the position or area applied for. In such cases, the applicant’s personal data is stored for five years. After this legally required period, such data are erased or, should Plastidom so deem, rendered anonymous for future statistical processing, thus safeguarding the identity of data subjects.
Applicants may withdraw their consent at any time, request the rectification of their personal data, restrict processing or request portability from Plastidom S.A.
PERSONAL DATA STORAGE PERIOD
Personal data are stored for different periods of time depending on the purpose and legal criteria and so as to minimize storage time. By default, data are retained until the data subject exercises his or her right to erase their data and provided that the purpose for which they are being processed remains in effect.
Our policy is to store data only for the time necessary to satisfy the purpose for which they were collected. However, in certain cases we may store data for longer periods up to 10 years due to legal requirements.
SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
In accordance with legislation in force, we pledge to maintain your data secure, ensuring that our systems and security policies are subject to periodic analyses so as to mitigate risk and guarantee a suitable level of personal data protection. We achieve this by implementing the necessary technical and organizational techniques to protect your personal data against destruction, loss and accidental modification, as well as against unauthorised access and other processes. Nevertheless, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely failproof, therefore Plastidom S.A. can accept no responsibility for any unlawful acts which could corrupt the information provided through our website. We shall do everything within our power to protect data but cannot guarantee total security against criminal acts.
We also respect the confidentiality of your information. As such, we do not sell, distribute or commercially provide your information to third parties. We will only communicate your data to third parties should such communication be vital for providing services or meeting legal obligations.
In the event of loss, incorrect use, change, unauthorised access or undue appropriation of personal data provided or transmitted to Plastidom S.A., the respective data subjects and the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) will be notified within the legally stipulated times.
SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES
Plastidom S.A. may be required to share some of your data with other recipients. They include:
Organizations and/or companies associated with Plastidom S.A., more specifically, Plastidom Euro Ibéria S.L. and Domplex Logis S.A. Although they are legally separate, these companies supply complementary services and plastic products, therefore, the aims are equivalent and respect the same policy with regard to personal data protection.
Processors providing certain services related to your personal data under a sub-contract, in order to provide suitable services and products within the scope of the Plastidom Group.
Authorities with legislative competence to ensure the correct application of the law with regard to the protection of consumer rights particularly in relation to personal data;
The competent authorities to which Plastidom S.A. is legally bound to provide information relating to judicial proceedings or should technical and/or security problems be detected.
COOKIES POLICY
The official Plastidom S.A. website uses cookies which help determine the usefulness, interest and the number of accesses. They also allow faster and more efficient navigation as they remove the need to repeatedly enter the same information. However, cookies do not identify individual users, only the computer used.
